What is Paint Correction?

Paint correction restores a vehicle's paintwork through polishing, using tools like random orbital, fixed rotational, or rotary polishers. The process is tailored to the paint's condition and desired outcome.

For minor dullness, a light polish combined with a less abrasive pad can rejuvenate the finish. More severe imperfections may require a 2- to 3-step correction, starting with heavy compounds and abrasive pads to remove defects like swirl marks, marring, and light scratches from the paint clear coat. This is followed by a fine polish and a non-abrasive jeweling pad to achieve a smooth, vibrant, and glossy appearance.

Whether you need a light enhancement or advanced correction, Extensive Detailing delivers exceptional results!

Services

What Does a Polishing or Paint Correction Service Include?

Our paint correction service starts with a comprehensive exterior detailing, including a thorough decontamination wash, both chemical and mechanical paint decontamination, and detailed cleaning of the wheels, tires, and wheel wells. Once the vehicle is fully prepped, we use a machine polisher with carefully selected compounds, polishes, and pads to restore the paint, customized to the chosen service option and the paint's condition.

How Long Does the Process Take?

Most enhancement polishing services typically take 2 to 4 hours, depending on the size and condition of the vehicle. However, advanced paint corrections require more steps to achieve optimal results. These can take a minimum of 5 hours for less severe imperfections, or up to 10+ hours, often split over two days, to restore deep, severe imperfections in the clear coat. This time ensures thorough detailing, meticulous preparation, and effective restoration through polishing.

Which Products Do You Use?

For paint correction, we rely on premium compounds, fine polishes, pads, and products from trusted brands like Rupes, Lake Country, 3D, and Jescar to achieve exceptional results.
